Video Streaming
Online video streaming requires a large amount of bandwidth that requires a speedy broadband internet connection.
Although our movies are encoded that adjust the quality automatically to the speed of your internet connection, we
recommend at least a minimum of 1000Kbps (1.0Mbps) download speed to prevent constant buffering of movie content.
Our online movies are encoded at HD1080P VBR and HD 720P VBR to provide the best
viewing quality online. Our online video player will automatically detect
your connection speed and adjust the quality of video to match the speed of your
internet connection. The faster your connection is, the higher video
quality you will receive. When watching online videos, you may notice a
slightly blurry picture at the beginning of the movie. It should go away in less than 10 seconds.
The video player is being customized to match your internet download speed to
minimize or prevent buffering.
Below are some helpful tips to prevent or lessen the amount of buffering while watching online movies in general:
- If your internet connection is below 1000Kpbs (1.0Mbps), avoid any sort of activity that would result into
a lower or shared download (e.g. downloading a big file while watching movie).
- Avoid runnig bandwidth-intensive programs while watching movies.
- If you are watching movie using full screen, try lowering the size of the screen or the resolution of your pc.
- Ensure that you have the most recent version of MS Silverlight Plug-in for your browser. Also ensure that your
operating system has the latest updates installed.
If however you still experience problem viewing movies after having the fastest
internet connection, the faster pc, and not doing any multi-tasking activities,
please contact support so we can try and
help resolve your issue.
